The Gold Mop Cypress is one of our favorite plants and is the winner of April’s Plant of the Month! This gorgeous plant is the perfect addition to your landscape. With its bright yellow drooping thin string-like leaves, it adds the perfect pop of color. A slight shade to full sunlight works best for this evergreen. It requires well-drained soil and is drought tolerant once its growth has been established. Pruning is very minimal on this plant and only the broken, dead or brittle branches should be removed. Due to the resilience of this plant, it makes a great addition to rock gardens and can be used for foundation plantings.
