Outdoor Showers
An Outdoor Shower is a luxurious addition to your home and landscape. Not only does it provide you with the opportunity to shower outdoors while enjoying the sounds and beauty of nature, but it is also known to significantly increase the value of your home. Basics Landscaping and Construction has extensive experience in the installation of Outdoor Showers. Due to the importance of proper drainage and potential water damage, it is imperative to use a company with both knowledge and a reputation for excellent skill. There are several things to consider and to be discussed with your designer while choosing the best Outdoor Shower to suit your needs.
Please see below for some details you will need to consider.
Location:
We suggest the location of your outdoor shower be close to your home, pool or cabana and preferably in a place where access to plumbing is available to provide hot and cold-water.
It is best to choose an area with good sunlight and air circulation to prevent mold.
Surface:
A firm and level surface which can withstand water is required (some examples are decking or a patio).
Drainage:
Proper drainage must be used to ensure the water from your shower is directed away from your home properly. There are different regulations for different regions. Local codes will need to be reviewed to see whether or not a formal drain would need to be created or if you are able to have the water run-off into your yard. A drain cover is necessary to properly manage debris.
