The Nepeta ‘Walker’s Low’ Catmint is this month’s Plant of the Month! This highly durable herbaceous perennial requires low maintenance and its robust periwinkle colors brighten up any landscape. One of its impressive characteristics is its ability to attract butterflies and hummingbirds while simultaneously repelling rabbits and deer. This plant requires full or partial sunlight, should be watered weekly or more often in more extreme heated locations. Use this vibrant plant in a large variety of ways, such as in rock gardens and naturalistic plantings or you may use it to edge your beddings, as a perennial border, as ground coverings or even on paths. It typically grows in dry to medium soils that are well-drained and spreads in clumps up to 2-3 feet wide and tall. Be sure to join us next month to find out which plant wins Plant of the Month!
